Back from a world tour
It really felt like a shame having this great pair of Warehouse 1001XX just laying around. So about a year ago I decided to send them out on a world tour and visit friends from Superfuture.
Check out the tour thread to see how the jeans changed through out the year.
About a week ago they returned in a completely different shape, showing so much of why I hold Warehouse denim so dear.
These jeans was a special release from the Inazuma festival in Japan. Normally they don’t use the the Duck Digger-denim on the 1001XX cut. But on this one, they did.
Like I mentioned in previous posts the fabric is very uneven compared to other of Warehouse’s offerings. Now that they’re faded it’s even more apparent. Just look at that streaky goodness below!
I don’t have any proper pics of the Warehouse 1001XX at the moment so you will have to make due with a couple of close-ups that I’ve already posted on Instagram. On the last picture you have a comparison with Ooe Yofukutens much much more even and smooth OAXX denim.
Not too easy finding Warehouse 1001XX specials
Though this particular pair is hard to come by now, every now and then a pair of the Duck Digger line pops up on Yahoo or Ebay. So keep an eye out if you’re intrigued.
The patch is also getting more interesting. I never was a fan of this design. Now though, it’s getting that vintage vibe. We like that, don’t we?
